DESCRIPTION
As the first open-top 911 in history, the SC Cabriolet was produced for just a single model year. Porsche had not built a cabriolet since the 356, and the Carrera 3.2 took over the very next year. Approximately 4,100 units were built in total—with nearly 2,400 in European specification—representing less than 7% of the total 911 SC production run.
This SC is finished in Grand Prix White—a signature historic color for the brand—complemented by a two-tone black and white leather interior that echoes the exterior. It is a bright, distinctly summery configuration: exactly what one expects from a cabriolet.
The car is in an excellent state of preservation. The bodywork shows only a few scattered stone chips and virtually no scratches. On a solid white finish—which is unforgiving and reveals every detail—such a presentation after forty-three years speaks to the constant care it has received: it was never driven in winter, saw limited use, and accumulated mileage steadily over the years.
Delivered new in Sweden in 1983, the car has never left the country, and its history is exceptionally clear. The documentation is complete from day one, including the factory delivery note, original registration application, stamped Porsche service book, and an unbroken record of workshop invoices spanning three decades. Continuously serviced by the same facility since the 1990s—originally NIBO Autocenter in Stockholm, which became K3 Autocenter and subsequently Porsche Service Center Haninge following its official accreditation by the manufacturer in 2007.
Accident-free, the car is entirely original, with two documented exceptions: the soft top, which was redone in July 2015 by a specialist upholsterer, and the stereo, replaced in October 2024. The paintwork is also 90% original; only the front right fender was refinished in 2008 following a stone chip.
Serviced in April 2026, again by Porsche Service Center Haninge, this SC is presented in exceptional condition and is ready for its next owner.
